About the Project

ASAFI Group is proud to launch a modern, large-scale poultry farm dedicated to egg production in Kisarawe Industrial Zone, just 40 km from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Spanning 40 hectares (100 acres) of fully acquired land, this facility is designed to produce over 100 million high-quality eggs annually, positioning it among the most advanced farms in East Africa.

This flagship initiative represents our transition from global food trading to local food production, with a long-term vision to strengthen regional food systems and empower communities.

Strategic Vision: Tanzania as Our East African Hub

This farm is more than a standalone project—it's the foundation for ASAFI Group’s broader commitment to food production across East Africa. Tanzania’s strategic location, stable economy, and growing demand for protein-rich foods make it an ideal base for future expansion. Our goal is to establish Tanzania as our central hub for agricultural innovation and supply across the region.

Led by Global and Local Experts

The project is backed by a seasoned team of international and Tanzanian professionals with deep experience in poultry farming, agri-technology, and food systems management. From feasibility studies to construction and operations, every phase of development is guided by world-class standards and industry best practices.

We’ve partnered with Big Herdsman, a leading global manufacturer of poultry farming systems, to deliver a full turnkey solution, while ensuring that the majority of on-site employment and construction is locally sourced.

Combating Malnutrition

Over 40% of Tanzanian children suffer from stunting. We are committed to supporting School Nutrition Programs with reliable, nutritious egg supplies aligned with international health standards.

Job Creation

The farm will generate more than 150 local jobs, with training and long-term career opportunities in modern agriculture.

Improved Food Secutiry

By enhancing the local supply of affordable, high-quality protein, we reduce dependency on imports and contribute to national food resilience.
